5 “Hacks” To Help You Speed Up Your Manifestations

The sacred art of manifestation receives a lot of attention these days. Whether you want to manifest your dream job, your dream house, your dream lover – your dream whatever – there are a plethora of tutorials, listicles, workshops, and more geared towards helping you manifest all that your heart desires.

This modern day – some might say, “new age” approach to manifestation is interesting to me, because in many ways I’ve always been able to manifest what I wanted or needed since I was young without being in my head or intellectualizing the process. There was no real blueprint I would follow to do this, just a natural understanding of universal law that helped me create and witness my reality unfold.

I spent a lot of time daydreaming as a child, sometimes flipping through the pages of Architectural Digest for hours on end imagining what it would feel like to live inside a beautiful home overlooking the mountains, on the beach, etc. Consequently, finding incredible living situations has been one of my superpowers, so to speak, as an adult. I always manage to stumble upon the right place at the right time – you guessed it, in the mountains or on the beach, etc. – and of course, this is no coincidence.

I realize now the time I spent daydreaming as a young girl I was actually laying the foundation for my future self to enjoy the reality I currently live in. I may not have consciously known what I was doing at the time, and in many ways this served me better: I wasn’t concerned with whether these dreams would actually manifest because their manifestation wasn’t the actual goal. I was more focused on how being in that moment made me feel, rather than whether or not my dream would actually come to fruition.

This is the true key to manifestation: truly feeling and embodying the energy of what you wish to manifest, and being unattached to the outcome.

Since my childhood days I’ve had a lot of time to experiment with my manifestation practice, and I have to say, taking in a lot of the information out there on how to manifest only seemed to slow down my process. Like most things, manifestation is something we already inherently know how to do. However, if you feel like you’re struggling with your manifestations and need some tips, read on to see if this advice may be of help to you.

And please remember not to intellectualize this process too much. There is a part of your soul that truly already knows how to do this, so approach these tips as more of a set of reminders rather than a tutorial. It’s probably best to just allow the information to pass through your third eye and then release any attachment.

With that said...

1. Ask Yourself: How do I want feel? Yes, not what you want, but how you want to feel. Get clear on this and write down a list of adjectives to describe your desired feeling state. Some examples may include: free, clear, boundaried, joyful, sensual, or lighthearted.

2. Tap into that feeling state This is where you begin to align with the frequency of the thing. By doing this you are literally matching your vibration to the vibration of that which you wish to attract. This is one of the most important steps of the manifestation process, so do not leave this out. Do a meditation and visualize yourself in your desired circumstances with the entirety of your being. Don’t just see yourself there, but truly feel it. You want a beach vacation? Don’t just pin a picture of a beach to your vision board: put on some beach wave sounds in the background, pour yourself a glass of cold coconut water, buy some seashells – feel them, touch them, watch a movie set at the beach, visualize yourself dancing on the sand with a gorgeous lover, just feel it, feel it, feel it!

3. Release resistance As you meditate or move through your practice, take note of any resistance that’s coming up. As I mentioned before, in order to fully manifest something, your energy has to be aligned with that thing. If you want to start your own business and be financially independent but you are still clinging to old jobs or an old sense of security, you are actively blocking your manifestation. You have to truly clear out what no longer serves you to create space for what does. This goes for old belief systems as well. If you are feeling unworthy or undeserving of receiving your dream, it will greatly slow down your process. Be kind to yourself as you work through these energetic and emotional blocks as they are a common part of this process and need your gentle love and attention. I like to visualize this process like a home redecoration: if I want to bring in new, fresh furniture, I have to clear out the old stuff to make space. It’s a natural process, and it can take time, so be patient.

4. Let go of any grasping or any need for it to happen Yep. This part can be hard, because of course, you want what you want! However, it is your feverish wanting of a thing that often pushes it away. If you think of it in terms of your energy field, your fear and doubt will just create an energetic block in your system obstructing your ability to receive information that might guide you toward your manifestation. Example: you might be holed up in your room anxiously pinning your dream man to your vision board, but your soulmate is outside going for a walk, taking in the cool night air. If you had taken a few moments to breathe deeply and center yourself, you may have heard your intuition gently guiding you to step outside to get some fresh air yourself. However fear and doubt block your reception of the cue, which can lead to missed opportunities (but don’t worry, there are always more ;)). Getting out of your head and into the vibration of joy and pleasure are key to bringing your manifestations to you. So, go have fun! Have that cone of ice cream, go for that hike, watch that silly movie, go shopping, have a lunch date with one of your girlfriends, go dancing – whatever! Just take your mind off of your manifestation and take pleasure in life. This helps to clear your energy field, and of course, you never know who or what you’ll encounter in these moments. Relax, allow your edges to soften, and remember that even without this external thing that you are complete, and all is well. However, with that said…

5. Gently revisit your manifestation when you feel relaxed and at ease I know it may seem contradictory to what I just said, but it is important to revisit your manifestation only when you’re feeling relaxed and not in a “pushy” vibration. Sit with it in the evening every few days, light some candles, put on some calming music, tap into the feeling state again, and repeat steps three and four.

Remember: manifestation occurs when intention aligns with possibility. There are so many pieces to the puzzle of manifesting your dreams. There are far more elements that need to fall into place, people that need to be ready, and circumstances that need to be prepared than we could imagine, so be patient and trust in divine timing.

Also, remember that your higher self has already arranged all of the details and knows how to align you with the opportunities, people, and places to assist you in bringing your dreams forth into fruition, so there is truly no need to doubt this process.
